I just recently replaced my front brake and needed some help with the torque spec. Yes I know it’s in the diy maintenance thread and it’s listed as 137ft for the 19mm bolt. Here is where I see some discrepancies. Most people are saying 91ft for that same bolt.
I have a 2014 and have also read from 2014 to mid 2015 they used a different bolt and it’s supposed to be 137. The bolts I have are 17mm and yes it’s oem and hasn’t been changed.
If anyone has access to service manual or the computer system with the repair manuals can some one please check the front brake caliper bolt torque for a 2014 sr5.
Is that specific to the 2014 or is that for all 5th gens?
my apologies, i was looking at the wrong section (using a sketchy online FSM website lol). i went on shopkey pro to see and the torque spec on the caliper bolts is 91 lbs-ft.
There are 2 different sizes one may find. Mine (2015) had the smaller size, and the larger torque spec stretched it out like a cartoon illustration. Nothing stripped.

Was yours the 17mm bolt? Where did you find that it says it should be 137?
I believe the older ones are 12mm bolt size (17mm wrench) - in that case if they are 10.9 grade bolts 12x1.25 thread - the standard torque value would be 99 ft lbs in a standard fastener torque guide book. If it were a 14mm bolt size (19mm wrench) M14x1.5 the standard torque value would be 154 ft lbs.
But that's for bare metal fasteners. Then you adjust for the coatings. Slicker coating = lower friction and lower torque value. The torque value is based on the tension you need for the bolt to stretch just the right amount. So... I'd go with the 91 ft lbs if it's a 12mm bolt shaft and 137 if it's a 14mm bolt. I'd also put blue loctite on it.
