It's not my first 4Runner (I had an 86 and a 00) but I have had this one 2 years now and rarely miss having a truck. I've hauled more building materials in this one than I did in my last 2 Tacomas. And the dog can ride in the back instead of in the back seat. That's a HUGE plus for me.

Between 2003 and 2019 over two 4Runners and a Tundra, I originally went in with intent to buy a Tacoma. All three times, I was unable to find an acceptable seat position in the Taco (I'm 6'-1"). They seemed to be designed for shorter drivers. I understand they now have height adjustment capability but not sure they expanded headroom. I need to test drive one next time I'm at the dealer.
