Oh, one other thing I occasionally miss...a compass. My 08 SR5 had one in the rear view mirror. Not so in my '20 OR.

They can be retrofitted. They can also be added aftermarket by either ARB or Eaton/Harrop (same thing different name).

However - if you're coming from a 3rd gen, all 5th gens have ATRAC including SR5s. In my opinion - ATRAC is better than a rear locker alone. ATRAC plus rear locker is even better - but ATRAC alone on the 5th gens really is pretty good for most people.

I've probably embedded this video a dozen times - but it's really good for people who might not be familiar with ATRAC to get an idea of how well it really works. - point being that you might not need a rear locker and if you don't the SR5 might save you some money.

IMO one of the weirdest quirks is that the center caps are all designed the same way for all different wheel options. But they're not interchangeable between the wheels. Why wouldn't hey all be the same plastic mounting setup??? I have no idea.

Also - suspension setups have changed almost yearly. Early KDSS models had left/right springs and different shocks up front. Later models use the same springs/shocks as the SR5 models.

My 3rd gen had much nicer rear HVAC controls. My 5th gen basically has a couple vents in the back of the glove box.

There is a compass on one of the pages in the instrument cluster. It also tells you the speed limit.

2015 Limited has a cd player. I put in a Tom Petty CD and call it good.
With cellular data people mostly stream now. I don't pay for data so I put 1,100 songs on a usb and access my music that way now.

I'm asking because the seam on mine has worn out a bit and is starting to show the cushion below. I'd love to replace it if possible vs trying to repair the fabric.
I’m interested in getting a replacement as well.
It looks like the superseded part number you posted has been superseded again with 7107235361C3

Should probably start a separate thread for this.

thanks, coming from old 4runner perspective I was not knowledgeable on ATRAC. After your posting and the video I read several threads on ATRAC and can see I can get by without a locker, if i find one that is good without.
I just know that I have been in situations with my old 3rd gen, that I would not have gotten out of easily without the locker.

Lol I got my windshield replaced the the first week of owning it in 2015. I've had a chip now for a year almost and am just accepting it.
