You have some pretty baseless defenses and lame insults for someone who believes they are more intelligent than everyone else. Have fun stressing out about how the man is out to get you. He will get you if he wants you regardless of your efforts.

Hi Pointlessman:
I want to start by pointing out your poor grammar skills: Thats requires an apostrophe i.e. That's , which stands for that is.
Actually I do read and just this morning came across a description that reminded me of you:
PPD (Paranoid Personality Disorder) is a DSM-5 (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fifth edition), diagnosis assigned to individuals who have a pervasive, persistent, and enduring mistrust of others, and a profoundly cynical view of others and the world (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
I wish you would seek help, however I know you will not .

Dummy, if you're correcting grammar and punctuation be sure to not put a space prior to a period. I honestly do feel pity for you. You're clearly a lonely individual with not much going on. Good luck, you fool.

lol. I am clearly more intelligent than some of you. Without question I have a much higher education and work in a field relevant to the topic at hand. Again, since some of you are obvious simpletons let me lay it out for you again. This isn't about stopping all privacy concerns or stopping the government. Its about retaining some of your own rights and privacy. Defending yourself from solicitations and outside marketing you were not interested in, is a smart thing. Your laziness and complacency is your own problem. The thread has helped some. That is all that matters. The rest of you sad internet tough guys, thanks for the laugh.

Hey pointless man:
Your above post reminded me that I forgot to include your most obvious disorder:
TABLE 1. DSM-5 Criteria for Narcissistic Personality Disordera
A pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
1. Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements).
2. Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love.
3. Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions).
4. Requires excessive admiration.
5. Has a sense of entitlement (i.e., unreasonable expectation of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations).
6. Is interpersonally exploitative (i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends).
7. Lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others.
8. Is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her.
9. Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors and attitudes.

One of my in-laws is a marketing executive at a Fortune 500 beverage company. The company spent $2.5million last year LEGALLY buying consumer's "personal" info. It is purchased from car dealerships, grocery stores, banks, restaurants, universities, every social media platform, etc, etc, etc. The issue isn't that any single piece of highly sensitive data is available for sale. The real concern is that these companies can cross reference data from multiple sources to paint a detailed picture of you as an individual....That's the simple part to understand, but it takes a bit more reflection to appreciate how that can negatively impact you.
I'll just give you one example and let your mind wander from there....
I have a very close friend that is a statistician for Geico. Essentially, her job is to constantly tweak a system that assigns a risk score to every applicant or current client. Tweaks are made based on company needs. She looks at the likelihood of an individual costing the company money based on correlations. This is where the negative impact arises...men who who eat at fast food restaurants more than 2.4x/week and make less than $65/yr are 3x more likely to submit a homeowners insurance claim in excess of $15,000. Once you fall into enough of those elevated risk categories, you pay a higher premium. And when the company is falling behind on quarterly profits, she makes a few clicks to put in place more stringent criteria that generates higher risk scores, higher premiums, and increased profits.
This isn't conspiracy theory, its fact. This is one example and it isn't far fetched to realize if it occurs in one industry, it's occurring in others.

Insightful stuff. Thanks for sharing that. Hopefully others will read it and take it seriously. Small details alone are one thing, but all of those details compiled make up an entirely different animal.

Wow, too bad you are not clever enough to see how you keep adding evidence for your illness. I know you can not accept the fact you are the classic case. My only regret is that people like you who so desperatly need help will not seek it. Keep loving yourself.

Thanks for posting. Can you share more about this step, and which Toyota app you mean? What year is your 4R? I have a 2019 and the Entune app installed on my phone, but do not see "Data Consent & Terms" anywhere.

Check this one out on Netflix if you want to know more: The Social Dilemma
If you don't have a tinfoil hat, it'll make you want one, until you realize it's already too late and admit defeat.
You can take actions to be less discoverable and more private but unless you take an off the grid lifestyle approach, your behaviors and activities will be commoditized. Frankly, you're for sale.

Getting spicy in here... can we just go back the simple things like why I should I get a ORP instead of a Pro?
Or... why I don’t need sliders if I off-road 1-2 a year?
Or.. discussing that 2022 will be the year of the V8???
Anyways, thanks OP. Like the above user said, after watching Social Dilemma, nothing surprises me anymore

Thanks for the info OP. What I'd really like to know is where the cellphone is located. I've read you can pull a fuse to disable but I'd like to find it regardless, hopefully it's its own module and can be removed without too much fuss as people have with similar devices on VWs.
Try to ignore the haters. As someone once said "Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and annoys the pig."
