No problem. I have a 2020. It is not the Entune app, but the "Toyota" app. I don't have the Entune app, so not sure about it. Perhaps download the "Toyota" app just to toggle the settings?

That was my hunch - thanks for following up. While Toyota is not innocent, it is the usage policy of Apple, Android and Amazon that is most invasive. I remember looking through the usage/privacy policy for CarPlay and remembering just how much you sign away when using a car with it.

2014 - 2019 Pull the DCM "Data Communications Module" fuse underhood. No more tracking. Not sure on other years.

I purchased my used 19’ TRD Off-Road about 4 months ago from a dealer in a different city. Fast forward 4 months and I’ve purchased a few little plastic clips , and filters etc from the dealership in my city and was always asked for my VIN number and I figured I’d share it with them before I needed something very specific(parts wise) requiring it.

As soon as I did , within 4 hours I get a service bulletin pop up on my stereo head unit screen that this particular dealership is now my home dealership and that a service is due. Checked the box to never get this message again and I’ll be pulling the DCM fuse previously mentioned here.

I don’t think much in this world is private anymore but if I can disable it easily I will.

That is actually the wrong attitude towards this.
Would you livestream your entire house 24/7? That seems basically like what is ultimately coming just like ow16 and 0w8 oils... Creep it in slow so nobody notices. Boiling frogs slow vs fast...

I have nothing to hide, but I value my privacy.
