I like my blackout badges but I still wish someone would release a set of letters to match the TOYOTA on the front.

I'd actually prefer the 3rd gen 4Runner emblems over the 5th gen....the font is so much more sleeker and not fluffy. I feel like Toyota could've gone with a better font than the one we have now.

Installed overlays and LOVE them!

Front "horn", SR5 on sides, rear "horn" and "4Runner" on lift. Carbon fiber on headlights & tail lights. Have overlays for steering wheel & dash to put on this weekend.

PS: Wife says I get the 4Runner back on Sunday and she'll take her RAV4 back (Doc says her knee is healed well enough and she needs to start bending it to get mobility back!)!!!

I think using the black overlays looks best and if you don't like it just peal it off. After a few months the front emblem came loose and I noticed it just in time so I glued it back on, maybe it will last longer this time.

There will be a big market for replacing the blacked-out bullshit with the correct chrome and shiny parts. I’m considering creating a parts list and sell a kit for various years and models.

On the 4Runner, all blacked out logos are chrome underneath with black vinyl overlays. All you have to do is put a hair dryer to them briefly to soften up the double-sided adhesive and peel them off. Follow up with 3M adhesive remover on a rag and you are done.
