That's an interesting solution, nice thinking. I wish I had seen that 7 years ago when I started chopping the liner lol. Nothing left now

I had to pull in the front wheel well, trim the lower bumper and remove the front mudflaps to fix 285. Also used a heat gun to push back the fender at various spots I noticed rubbing after offroading. This was with stock suspension but now running 2 inch lift shown in pic. No body chop but it is close at full lock.

My new wheels are 17x8.5, 0 offset, 4.75 backspacing. This is encouraging...

I just got an OME 3" Lift and 285s. Extremely minimal rub at full lock. Was expecting more. I did no mods to mud flap or front bumper. Very happy. Although I haven't gotten an alignment. Do I really need to? Feels ok.

I'm running 285's on 17x8.5 0 offset wheels. JBA uppers, body mount chop, and pretty hacked up front mudflaps. Still rubs on the mudflaps and I have eibach springs and 3/4" cornfed spacers out back. If I take them off it doesn't rub at all. But it's not terrible.

What's the difference driving the 285. Rougher ? Noisy?

Yup definitely! I'm actually surprised I didn't lose more mileage too. I still average a touch over 19. And that's with a winch and a heavy steel skid plate up front too.

I added 285’s Nitto’s RG to my 2020 AG Pro about a month ago. I don’t think the power loss is much noticeable. Just step it down and it goes fine.
