Fairwell All - Switched 4Runner to Tundra

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped along the way with ideas on my 4Runner build. Great community with great people, I’ll stop in here and there to check out some rigs.

Keep it real and stay safe!

Careful with the door on your way out.

I cannot imagine driving a HUGE truck like that again.

Congrats on the new rig. As needs change you have to roll with them. Good luck.

Congratulations on the nice new truck! Because of the lighting, it's hard to be certain of the color. What is it called? Or is it white?

Not something I'd do, but if you like it that's all that matters.

Been considering the same switch for quite some time.... Lunar Rock, correct? Looking good either way

Congratulations on the new ride! You will love it! I own both and they are very different. Like them for different reasons. The 5.7 is awesome. It makes the 4R feel extra pokey if you drive them back to back. But, didn’t get the 4R for speed. Enjoy!

Sharp truck, enjoy. I often wonder why the Tundra seems to be a common option people change to and not a Sequoia.

Having a Tundra and a 4R I would say for the bed. Pickups are great if you actually use and need the bed A LOT. Otherwise SUV’s with a small trailer work for most. The best thing about a bed especially with cap is you can put the dirtiest stuff back there and just hose it out.

When I got rid of my Ford pick up I got one of these kits from Home Depot and used it for years. I added wagon sides to it. It folded up and stood against the garage taking up very little space.

That makes sense, but I would think SUV owners would beef up to a bigger SUV and maybe the Taco people would go for a truck. I see a few lifted Sequoia's around and often think it would be nice to have that kind of interior space to gear up, but then there's trying to cram it into a parking spot.. I also use a trailer for hauling stuff around. The SUV trailer combo covers my needs.

Had a chance to rent a 2016 Tundra Platinum a couple of years ago: that V8 was quite enjoyable haha. Big fan of the Tundra but I'm more of a SUV guy (hence the reason I went with the 4Runner over the Tacoma). Still a dope truck!
