for the idea and help. I'm going to install an SAE input port on the passenger side cowl seal for plugging portable solar panels into my redarc bcdc charger next.
Question for anyone that's used the cowl seal - did you use the NOCO provided screws or did you use a machine screw and nut to secure this? Second, did you apply any silicone or sealant between the NOCO and the cover gasket and the cowl?
That's a very clean install, nicely done!.
I used the NOCO screws, I was going to upgrade them to small bolts with nuts but it has held really well as is so far.
I didn't use any silicone as the NOCO is a sealed unit except the rubber door, and I have zero concern about water getting through into the engine bay. As you can tell in my pictures, lots of dirty water finds its way in from other places.
