KDSS Polyurethane Bushings

I have knock when off roading , the clamps on my OEM bushings came off first off road trip. I was looking to up grade , the only place I can find that sells Polyurethane for KDSS is Siberian Bushings . Anyone else gone this route ? Bushing 1-01-3890 41mm. I have 2019 TRD Off Road , I believe these fit ?

I ended up going with rubber from Moog as I had an impossible time finding poly for my KDSS sway bars.

If you find some, please post where you found them. I'd be willing to do that job again to upgrade.

Its in my original post Siberian Bushings OEM part is # 48815-60360. type this in and you get 1-01-3890 Polyurethane bushing. They make a complete kit for the Limit 4 Runner. This is the part # Toyota gave me. There bushing is 41mm inside , dont know if thats correct ?

They need to have a lot of flex. I don't think poly would be a good choice for this application.

I second this, I had them but got tired of the constant greasing to stop the squeaking. I believe they hurt suspension travel as well. I took them out and threw them as far as I could. Not a good application IMHO.

As an aside- I had the same issue after my first off road trip. One of the band clamps (there one on each side of bushing, two bushings on front sway bar) came off.

I haven't been able to confirm, but based on some forum research it seems like those bands may have been placed there during the assembly process and aren't really functional once the system is assembled and the bushing is clamped.

In the meantime I threw a stainless steel zip tie on there, but I doubt it's doing anything. In order to replace the existing band clamp you'd have to disconnect the sway bar at the LCA and slip the band clamp ring on from that direction which seems like a ton of work for something potentially non-functional.

intresting , i believe they claim the same stiffeness as OEM but last 3 times as long.My OEM bushings didnt last one trip, ( if that is whats causing the thump ) so if I put rubber back in ,I guess I would be changing them once a year ?

Why do you think that's what's causing the thump? Can you look down and see the bushing's missing? I'd check other things first, it's unlikely that the KDSS bushings are the issue.

It sounds like something else is wrong, I highly doubt everyone is changing them annually.

My bushings started clunking a while back. Took a while to troubleshoot. I replaced them all with OEM and clunk gone They do wear out over time and will make a clunk noise. My clunker was in the front. Fairly easy job.

Have have replaced mine once, so far, in seven years. They do need to be replaced. Particularly if you have a lifted front-end, you can see that the bushing is being malformed from anything other than stock height. Like others, I lube them too.

Are you lubing them with petroleum based or silicone based grease like sil-glyde or something?

I have tried regular nlgi2 grease and it worked fine but gets and holds to much grime. It would be okay if there wasn't so much motion. I pack my coil-over lower spherical bearing with marine waterproof grease front and back, it is exposed, and the grime layer protects the fresh grease underneath, since it doesn't move much I am going on six years with those bearings.

Since I don't regularly fjord through streams, PTFE dry lube. Same as I use on my uniballs.

Either:
Triflow
Tri-Flow Superior Dry Lubricant – Triflow Lubricants
or:
Super-lube
https://www.super-lube.com/dri-film-...-syncolon-ptfe

whichever is cheapest at the time.

I made the mistake of going down the rabbit hole and reading up on the Siberian bushings website.
