I didn't search within the t4r.org forum itself. I opened another tab and with Google I simply typed "5th gen 4runner wiper blades" and then found the threads that are from our forum.

The Bossman secret is now out! haha!

I've had nothing but great experiences with the Bosch Icon wipers. Living here in central Florida we get a lot of rain and these are the best I've used.

They are something like $8? I doubt quality control is a high priority. I don't doubt that some are better than others depending on which box you happen to get.

Living in Utah - we don't get a lot of rain or snow. So I usually just buy what's cheap and convenient. I think it may only have rained 3-5 times since this spring. And then a couple light snow days.

I use the RainX Expert Fit hybrid.
No complaints.

OE wipers and just replace the rubber blades when needed.

I bought the Rain-X silicone endurance premium and the driver side doesn’t cut the water with a nice edge on the top arc of the glass. The passenger side does fine. I don’t know if I have a bad blade, but I’m not going to buy them again.

I replace mine yearly, just the rubber inserts in the OEM blades.
Latest part #'s for just the rubber refills:
Left: 85214-06140
Right: 85214-0E140
Rear: 85214-42040

But with my old 4R I used the Bosch Icons.

This (and others) I do refills too, super cheap, takes fifteen minutes, I get a couple years out of them, also it’s the only way I have found to replace the rear wiper blade.

The Costco rainx ones worked well on my other trucks there is no reason why they won't on my runner

And the price is right on sale for the pair less than $20

ProjectFarm did a review of all the top models a year ago: Which Windshield Wiper Blade is Best? Let's find out! Michelin, PIAA, Bosch, AC Delco, & Aero - YouTube.

He also just recently did a one year follow up after them being left out in the UV: Best Windshield Wiper Blade after 1 Year of UV? Bosch Icon vs Rain-X, PIAA, Trico, Valeo, AERO - YouTube

I trust almost everything he says and always check for one of his videos before purchasing anything new.

Ok, who likes what? Brands, styles, alternative sizes over OEM?
Buy OEM from the cheapest online dealer you can. Beware of Chinese crap and other offshore pseudo “OEM” rubbish.

I like the look of the stock wiper blade holders, and it's pretty cheap and easy to use OEM refills. Works for me. On the other hand, it hardly ever rains in Southern California.
