Lightbar Push Switch - Help Please

I recently connected my light bar to a small push switch (MICTUNING) next to the factory DC power switch.

Everything is connected properly except when I engage the switch it remains depressed and cannot be released. I constantly have to pull the plastic trim, reach from behind and push the switch out from the back for it to properly disengage.

So frustrating

Any ideas?

Had the same issue... pop the switch out and wrap some electrical type around it. It will stop the switch from sitting to far in. Should only take a warp or two to make it fit right.

Most of those factory-esque switches are total garbage. They are really hit or miss.

Are you sure you have the correct switch for the year of the truck. I have 2 on board switches and no problems working them.

Ugh, Hate those kind of switches. If you’re looking to add more lights I highly recommend saving up and getting a switch pro. Makes life so much easier.

THIS!!^^
Cry once and be done with it. Just bought a switch pro after 18 months of "doing it my way".
Ripped it all out and will be much happier with the SP. Cleaner, more professional, and fused and wired properly.
I should have done this in the beginning and would have saved $$$ and untold time.

Paragon1 : Motion seconded!

OR you could modify the blank factory housing to fit a $3 autozone switch like I did...

It might not be flashy but I personally like the toggle. It operates my raptor lights.

Nothing against the stock switch but I preferred the cleaner look with the push button. The stock switches worked fine. I tried it both ways.

Haha now I am even more confused, I see a rocker switch and a toggle switch, but no push-button switch for a lightbar.

Maybe I need to start drinking, it must be a sign of some sort....

Has anyone used a factory switch wire to tap Into for their aftermarket switch backlight?Basically for the dash light function. I’m trying to avoid an “add a fuse” just for that function, but I’m not sure exalt which wire to tap into to get power for the backlight
