Nobody does good QC these days. Just today I saw the guy they have doing QC sometimes sweeping the floors of the warehouse. He also barely speaks English.

I disagree with your statement.
Companies choose not to have good quality control, it doesn't just happen.
Yes, sometimes things get by, that's true. But for you to lump every company in the same slot in unjust to companies that do care about their products.

Your statement "Just today I saw the guy they have doing QC sometimes sweeping the floors of the warehouse. He also barely speaks English"
Well, that's a company that chooses to conduct its business like that. Or maybe he was filling in and still does good quality control. See how you lump ever company together....?

My opinion. Period.

Of course he can't do good QC, he's sweeping the damn floors and doesn't have the time!

Non-KDSS version. Now looking back with all the things I've done since it was one of the simpler mods.

If it was me I would ask for a discount and drill the holes. I ended up getting that discount when the paint peeled off and started rusting a couple months after install. Not near the holes, but large sections elsewhere. In the end I was happy with my purchase and never looked back.
Thanks for responding. The holes I would drill would be next to existing hole in the slider, and therefore create a larger hole in the sidewall of the slider plate. When inserting screws there, I would not only be inviting rust, but strength and integrity issues that couldn't be forecasted during an encounter in the woods. I'm not asking for a warranty, just a piece cut correctly. We all know sliders and the "overlanding" community in general are providing nice profits for companies. QC is expected at over $900.

Blargh, it was more of a "nobody" instead of an absolute nobody. Whatever.

And this is a guy that they bump all over the place doing whatever. And I think he's a temp. And I don't know how he could possibly effectively communicate details of poor quality in our environment where English is the language that would be used to communicate it in.

And I know full well companies can and do choose to operate this way. This one definitely chose to do so. I know that it was their explicit decision.

Gosh, technicality much?

Quality control is a big thing for me too.
Overtime I’ve come to appreciate when things are wrong how companies will bend over backwards to help you out and make things correct in the end.
On the other hand I cant tell you how shitty it feels when a company tells you, you must be doing something wrong, or worse just stop communicating.
Good customer service to me is tops, and keeps getting my business.
