Newer running boards on pre-face lift years

Ok, I can't seem to find any information on this topic.

I have a 2011 Limited, with the side skirts removed (Shrockworks trail trim installed) and on Saturday I'm buying a set of running boards from a 2015 (TRD Pro, I think).

The running boards from my Limited, if I remember correctly, bolted to the Limited's skirts (with maybe a bolt tying to the body?).

When I look underneath, I can't see to find the potential mounting points(bolt receptacles). Maybe the Shrockworks trim is hiding them? The trim doesn't seem to fold that far under the body.

So yeah, will newer running boards fit on pre-face lift 4runners?

Yes, it'll fit. Nothing external changed other than bumper covers, lights and grill.

Why isn't there ever anyone in need of running boards near me? I would give mine away for a cheeseburger. I just want them out of my garage, but can't bring myself to throw them away.

Like I told the user in the Classifieds post (selling my sliders), I love road trips but CO is a bit far from PA, and I would probably just stay in CO, so that's a whole lotta' commitment for a pair of running boards lol

(I've been keeping all my OEM stuff, in case I need to go back to Limited Land)

That's what I'm assuming. I'm willing to bet the TE trim might be hiding the holes. It was kinda dark last night when I took the sliders off.

Regardless, I will follow up on this post either way.

They fit! When I was taking the sliders off last week I must’ve been looking in the wrong areas. The Shrockworks Trail trim doesn’t cover the mounting locations, nor does it interfere with the trim itself.
