Oil Leak. Can anyone determine the issue from this pic?

I have a leak. Do we think this is valve cover or timing cover? 2012 with 150k. Planning on using some brake cleaner and cleaning everything so I can see where its coming from. I know shes dirty.

Looks like valve cover to me, but could be blowing up from below. Clean it real good and then check it often to see where it re-appears from.

Valve cover gasket weeping. Pretty common on a near 10 y/o motor with high mileage. I'd clean it and leave it be (cleaning every few months) until it's actually leaking then replace.

Are there any drips on the ground? Are all fluid levels OK? The pictures don't look "wet", so it would appear the leak is minimal. As others have said, clean it and don't worry about it.

I would replace now before the oil fouls the rest of the engine. Always less unpleasant when it's less greasy. But that's me.

Thanks everyone. I will clean it and keep an eye on it. This is the first time I have noticed it. Fluid levels have been good. Ill go ahead and get the gasket ordered so I have it when the time comes.

I tend not to fix oil leaks until they’re dripping on the ground or I get oil burning smell off the exhaust after coming off the highway. That leak looks pretty minimal. I’m in the “clean it and monitor” crowd.
