Utilizing storage

Hey everyone

The back of the 4Runner, over the wheels, there are little shelves. Also, there is the little “in-wall” cubby.

They are ok for storage, but not great.

Has anyone made or upgraded there storage back there on the sides?

And I don’t mean making a full pullout shelf unit. Just on the sides....

Thanks for any pictures of your setups.

Owen

I turned the shelf section into my mounted Arb air compressor section and the other section holds my hose and tire gauge.

Most people break the clips on those little shelves. You can remove the rear trim panels and actually unscrew them if you want to take all that time. Honestly your best bet for storage is some molle storage panels over the back windows

Do you have pictures or more details about this? I’m interested in doing the same thing. Thanks!
