I will ask again. For the millionth time:) Best 1" to 1.25 lift with coilover?"

Yes,

I know its been asked before. But its my turn now

I have a 2021 ORP with KO2's 265's on TRD PRO wheels.

I want a good quality lift on the front to mimic what the TRD PRO has. I guess it's like an extra inch. At the same time, I do not want to mess with the rear at all for now.

I am, looking at FOX 2.0 coil overs and Bilstein 6112 coil overs. Problem is they are all set to 2" lift. I would like to know if I can just get the desired front lift out of these and in the future, lift further with either ones to accommodate 275's.

Lastly, If I go with either of these, should I replace the rear shocks to maintain consistency but retain the same height? I want that slight rake for my PCS to keep working after the lift up front which is why I don't want to mess with the rear.

I am open to other brand suggestions. Don't want to use spacers.

Thanks !

this is what it looks like now.

Why don't you want to use spacers? They are super easy to install, and very inexpensive to the other things you are considering. For a 1" lift, all you would need is a 1/2" spacer above the front struts.

I read they really affect ride quality and not as good as struts and coils. Believe me, I rather save the $$$ but want to do this once and be ready for ture mods if needed.

I have the Rough Country leveling kit spacers (2" front, 1" rear) and the ride quality is the same.

Granted, they are not adjustable. But if you want anything over 2" in the front, then you have to go with UCAs and possibly a bunch of other stuff such as differential lowering.

I'm aiming for 1 inch lift on a stock 4Runner with KDSS. I recently bought C59-238 Dobinson springs, 1-1.25 inches lift. ($200) Here is a link: Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - lots of choices

I bought Bilstein 5100 adjustable front shocks ($240), 0-2.5 inches lift and set the collar for zero lift (spring clip on lowest perch).

I bought Dobinson SC59-001 top hats ($90) and assembled the parts.

Why did I choose these parts? (a) my vehicle has stock tires, (b) my old springs have sagged a bit, (c) vehicle has no extra weight to carry, (d) this spring with a digressive valve shock set at zero lift should offer a comfortable ride, (e) I installed Bilstein rear shocks a few years ago and (f) I do not off-road. Scratch that last reason ... sometimes my wife tries to drive over a curb or concrete curbstone.

The weather has been a little too cold here, so I haven't installed this setup. I have 118,000 miles on the original front coil overs.

If I was buying a lift now I would look at the Eibach 2.0. Front coil over adjustable from 0-2.75. You could get either just the rear shocks or the adjustable rear spring for 1/2” in the back

I went with Dobinson C59-238 front coils and C59-599 rear coils. Front struts GS59-700, Rear shocks GS59-705. I don't have KDSS.
The front DS was 19-3/4" It went up to 21-1/2". Rears DS was 21-1/2" went up to 23". the PS was about the same.
I should add that I have a storage drawer system that weighs around 200 lbs loaded. and it stays in the truck. Your height may vary.
It rides with allot more confidence and the nose dive is greatly reduced.
Just email Mike at Dobinson he's real good at this.

Not sure about the Foxes but I believe the Bilsteins can be set to these following heights (Trail4runner source)

2.5”
2.0”
1.6” – almost exactly level
1.2”
0.8”
0.0”

That being said, if you're looking to mimic the TRD Pro suspension (Fox variant), the Bilsteins are digressive valved while the Foxes are linear/progressive. Regarding the rears, I would change out the shocks too to have similar valving of the fronts. The stock Tokicos are pretty soft compared to the other shocks.

Another option is the mid-range (Fox IFPs, 6112s, etc) are the Dobinsons IMS shocks. They are adjustable and have many spring options to choose from. See here --> Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - lots of choices

So much info.

Any of you haves PCS and KDSS together? Any issues with above mentioned mods?

Keep in mind something like a Bilstein 6112 is not an adjustable coil over. You have to take it off and readjust the spring perch to adjust the height. I would go with a Dobinsons IMS paired with one of their coil springs. You should get new shocks for all 4 corners if you're going to do it at all. No sense in getting just a front set with mismatched rears. I'd consider getting their rear coils for stock weight as well.

I am looking at the exact spring set up that you are running. I may use the same strut/shock combo as you also. Or, may go the IMS route. The main thing for me is it looks like you have gained more than the advertised lift height for these springs. Especially so as you have a consistent load in the back. I am really hoping to go with Dobinsons but really only looking for the 1-1.25 they advertise for these springs. I plan on keeping the stock size tires but will be running AT's. Do you have any pics of your set up? It sounds like you like the ride and handling much better than stock. Any info and or pics you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

here are a couple of pics of the lift the beach shot still has the SR5 rocker panels the later shot has the trail rockers installed which makes it look a little taller but the suspension is the same in both. the tires are the OEM size Michelin Defenders.
I don't think the drawer system dropped the rear end any more than a third row seat would May be a 1/4" but it was not noticeable . I don't have a third row seat so I can't tell you what it weighs.
