Hey Gents-

I'm considering picking up a pair of ditch lights for my 4runner and putting them in cali raised mounts. I have two concerns.

1) I've read that some people like the ditch lights mounted a bit higher up/taller than others, because it helps to negate some of the glare off the hood. Is this a real issue that one contends with or is it fairly minor?

2) How do you prevent theft of these things, or at least discourage it? The D-SS Pros I'm looking at are around $550. If all it takes to steal them is an adjustable wrench or screwdriver, that seems like a loss waiting to happen if you leave the car unattended for too long. I suppose one could weld the nut in place, but that seems overkill.

1) depends on the angle and which beam pattern you choose.

2) look into tamper proof bolts or using thread locker. Not sure if anything is 100% theft proof, but might deter after a quick try.
