Seems like a pretty good value all in and shipped. I checked it and would be $800 and change. Winch includes a fairlead but you'll also likely want to drop another $100 or so on synthetic cable.

Is this for real? A bumper and winch for a little over $700?

Not going to lie it seems fishy. It’s over a thousand dollars off in value. That’s insane. Did they get hacked? Is this a reputable company? I can’t see how they are making any money here.

They had a similar deal for black Friday and I bought one at that time. 8 week lag time according to their customer service but he answered some of my questions and it seems like a legit deal. I'll update when I receive it.

Today, it's denying the code and not putting the package deal together. At least not for me when I just tried it.

Yeah, I did the same, decided to sleep on it. I don't really need it right now, but at that price if it's decent and the winch lasted at least a year, it'd be a good pick up.

Looks like the "RAHOHOHOLIDAY" code is working. It gives a discount on the bumper, but no winch. It put the one without the hoop at about $540 and the one with the hoop at about $607 delivered (if you select free shipping).
The winch code though is supposed to run through the beginning of the year, so I don't know if maybe they went in and changed it because it wasn't technically a full bumper. Both codes are supposed to be good until Jan 10th.

They run pretty large discounts year round. Makes me question the quality and whether or not the bumpers are even worth the MSRP they list them at. You don't see other companies like C4, SSO, Victory, Hefty, Shrockworks run big discounts like that. I don't think there's much margin in steel and fabrication work to give out such large discounts. Heck not even a company like Warn discounts their lo-pro bumpers that much and gives away their winch on top of it. So it's a red flag when they're giving out free winches and heavily discounting bumpers.

Maybe $1200 bumpers are just excessively marked up and these guys can still turn a profit at $600 and rely on volume? Very interested to see the reviews when they land. quick google didnt throw up any massive red flags, but no green flags either.

I agree with the volume-based discounting. Road Armor supports a lot of platforms, where most of the other 4R suppliers have a pretty limited market. 4R parts are definitely more expensive than, say Wrangler parts, again economies of scale and a more competitive marketplace has driven those prices down. Just my opinion, of course, and you can find poorer quality parts for Jeep compared to the 4R.

Found some customer pics of other vehicles on their fb page. not the prettiest welds but the guy said it was solid and fit well. If I hadn't spent way too much on xmas already id probably give them a hard look.

I think this is the case. There's about $70 worth of steel in the bumper at my cost. Probably half that cost for a factory in china. Id bet these cost less than $150 each to manufacture in Asia. So there's still a lot of room for profit. This isn't just a guess btw. I looked at prices for similar Jeep bumpers and the ex factory pricing is about $75-110.
Here's an example Source CA-110 Front Bumper Winch Plate D-Ring Black For 86-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ YJ on m.alibaba.com
The fact that a lot of shops charge $5-800 didn't necessarily reflect the cost of building them. Just look at uca costs. They're sub $100 parts sold for $500+.
