Top engine clean maintenance

Good morning 4Runner family,

Last Saturday I took my 5th generation for a routine maintenance. Got some stuff done but they wanted to do some extra stuff. On one of the maintenance they wanted to do was a fuel Induction service. They wanted to charge me $220. I pretty mechanical inclined and was thinking to do it myself and save some money. One thing Im running into is finding the vacuum hose which to run the top engine cleaner. Any idea where it’s at?
I watch a YouTube video that Toyota made on top engine clean , but the 4Runner that was in the video was 3rd gen. I was wondering the location on the 5th gen. Hopefully I can get some help from the family.

You don't need this service.

There’s really nothing about the engine or fuel system in the vehicle that needs any form of “cleaning.”

: )

In one Sienna I own, it is up to 500k+ on the Odometer.
I use 2-3 bottles of Redline SL-1 in there per year.
Never ONCE had anything wrong with injectors.

Last I checked, the only other cleaner worth its salt was the "non-diluted" Chevron Techron.

Sea Foam in your tank every 10-15K miles. Keep your filter clean and you should be good.

There is no PEA in Seafoam.
It is OK for 2 strokes, but more or less useless for anything else.

Let the flame war commence.

Do it, there’s too many armchair mechanics in this thread. What do they know that the dealer doesn’t???

I have over 1.3 million miles on just four Toyota vehicles in my "collection"
Once warranty is over, They never see a dealer again.

PEA is key. (Polyetheramine)

Magically makes your wallet lighter.

It does well for two-strokes.
That much I'll give it.

LOL, nice. So are you advocating for the redline or chevron cleaner. I've had great results with the foam in everything from 4 wheelers with dirty carbs to fuel in storage.

Got mine off amazon I think. I do it right before I change my oil when I don't forget. It's neither difficult nor expensive.

Another advocate of Seafoam here. I use it once a year in each of my vehicles
