2010 Limited climate control going out?

Guys,
I have a 2010 limited with the digital climate control. I've noticed the past several times when I start the truck, the climate control will not display anything at all. It takes about 5 seconds and then it comes on.

Have any of you experienced this? If you have, what'd you do to fix it?
Thanks

Hi rileyb76,

Before you start to worry about Worst Case Scenarios and the like... Let's do a Master-RESET on the MB-ECU (Main Body ECU Compu Network), if you haven't done that yet!

All that does is similar to what-cha do to your Windows Computer's Operating System from time to time. Sometimes, you need to delete all of the Temporary files, History Logs, fragmented data traces...etc that your truck stores for future diagnostic & analytic purposes!

So before to long, you've allowed these hard working computers to become overloaded, causing them (27 in all), to lose their ability to process the new intel that they are there to do! That said, whenever you're done for the night in your travels, Disconnect the NEG (-) Battery cable and leave it off for a minimum of four (4) Hours!

That's about how long it's storage capacitors take to drain/Bleed the juice they use to keep their memory functioning to operate! Once they clear, they'll go back to their factory Defaults, and begin operating as they should! Another way to do that would be to just pull the Short-pin from it's position in the Main (Engine-room) fuse-box, right next to the Dome-Light 10A fuse!

NOTE: When you go to start it the next day, it will start (for 2 seconds, and shutdown; that's normal... that just means that you were successful in doing the Master RESET properly! Start it back up and set the heat as you would normally do and watch it increase in temp/blower speed... it should be good!

If you still have trouble after all that, @Mention me and I'll chime back in to hear what's going on and we'll go to step two, K(?)! 'Best to you'

rig, cheers!
