I just got my skid in the mail today.. Too anxious to get it on.. I might temporarily install it with the stock rear bolts and go the stud route sometime in the near future (first oil change?)

So here is how I did it after careful measuring ordering items. Items were ordered from McMaster and Belmetric.
The shortest studs were in the rear and I had to make the fronts with 70mm bolts cut to total length of 2 5/8 to bottom out in the forward radiator location. I used blue loctite.
Do not over tighten the rears once you shoulder the stud. Stainless Belleville washers and stainless acorn nuts were used.

I may do one in the near future.....
one could go a different route I believe on the rear studs.....
I think the 70mm bolts could come in from the top of the threaded part. With a backing nut on the bolt, one could adjust to length and tighten nut, and the bolt would be locked in place.....

I look forward to it. I swung through ACE today and ending up buying the plug tap. So Iíll do it right from the get go. But the stud idea seems ideal for ease of on/off. TRD Pro Skid Plate & Oil Changes

I ran into a problem when changing the oil in my corolla 2005, probably the last owner overdid it with twisting it last time, or the car stood for a long time and this turned sour. I suffered for a long time and spent half a day to unscrew 1 bolt, I tried using a lever and various tools that my father has in the garage, but nothing helped. We have already started to visit the thoughts that I will take them to the service and let them suffer there, but I decided to climb the forums and look for an answer. And what was my surprise that after a little warming up of the car and a couple of blows on the bolt, everything was unscrewed. If suddenly someone needs a theme, then use it How to Remove an Over Tightened Oil Plug? – Easiest Way Explained
