Just installed Accessorides remote start

I just installed a Accessorides remote start on my 2019 4Runner with push button start. The whole process took 30 minutes and and works like a charm. Next I will test out the signal distance and update this post. Great product!

Has anyone installed one of these on a 2020 with the key no push button? I’ve heard that you have to splice a wire and that it’s not as straight forward as pre 2020 models. The makers of it won’t respond to emails.

Does it work while using the app or is it a separate key fob? Is that only the OEM version that works with the standard key/Toyota app?

Great! Looking to install the 2020 model on my car, I'm still checking for a variant that will do a perfect job.

I am still waiting for my Accessorides kit to be delivered, but from the videos on YouTube nothing needs cut. The wiring is to have a pin switch for the hood. I think you would just ground the wire if the switch will not be used. A sticker is provided to put under the hood to inform ones that a remote start is on the rig. You can use the oem fob as well as an app.

I installed an MPC remote start with the G key (non- push button)fob start and though it was mostly plug and play, the wire connections required were complicated for a novice

It came with a T Adaptor. You don't have to splice, but you have to cut some rubber/tape on the harness to free up the TPMS wire. It was fairly easy and the included instructions were pretty clear to understand

Did you have to do anything concerning the hood switch wire?

Follow the directions but if I remember from my install correctly, if you have an OEM hood sensor/switch, then you need to cut that wire they call out in the directions. If you don't have an OEM one, leave the wire intact. This was on my 2015 Trail with the G-key. I think the kit comes with a hood sensor/switch that you can choose to install if you want, but I didn't install it.
