Do you have an iPhone 12 Pro? 3D Printed Project

I am looking to see if anyone who has an iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro Max can take a 3d scan of the mid 5th(2014+) gen radio area and the center console area? I have a 3D printer and am trying to design a custom phone/ipad mount for the stock radio as well as some storage things for the center console. Also, if anyone with a "limited" style key is willing, it would be great to have a scan of that as well because I am trying to make a knockoff AJT Design key cover. I would do all of this without the scan but it has proved difficult. Obviously, I will make all files free and share them on here and attribute anyone who helps.

Any suggestions on how to 3D scan the Limited key? My brother made this one for me using calipers to measure everything:

He used my AJT buttons and screws. This one was his prototype as he had gotten the printer the same day and it was his first attempt at printing. What is hard about measuring it?

Also have a 12 Pro and wife has a 12 Pro Max if needed

Even for a prototype, that looks pretty good! I used a ruler when I was trying to design the limited key, which wasn't perfect so I will have to give calipers a try!

I'll pass that along to him! I have no problem scanning if you need it. Just tell me how you would suggest doing it with a 12 Pro. The only things I've scanned are whole rooms and I don't think that app would work well on something so small

Just an idea but maybe stick some playdoh in there to frame it then pull it out? Or some other putty that hardens but won't stick...

I have a 2021, how much does it look like this?

I can't 3D scan it, but I can take some measurements.

This is what I printed for my phone since I have Android Auto and don't need to see the phone all the time.

I recently got a printer myself and have been learning Solidworks. I must say it’s very fun and I’m getting decent at making parts for whatever. I use a plastic caliper and measure everything in mm. Works well.

How do you use the 3D scan, and what app on the phone do you use? I could try to scan it for you

So with the new iPhones, they have LiDAR scanners that can create dimensionally accurate 3d mesh models which then can be converted to STL files for printing. There are a bunch of apps, search for "lidar" or "3d scan. I read that someone used Capture3D to scan.
