ARB Twin Owners: Where did you mount?

Driver side, passenger side or inside cab, and why?

Future goals:
- deflation / inflation
- Rear air locker
- switch pros
- 1 gallon tank? Who fully utilizes a tank and for what?

Thanks in advance.

Passenger side on a Bandi mount.

Has 1gal Viair tank underneath. Goes to manifold which goes to a regulator and then to two QD's for hoses for tire filling and air tools.

There are extra ports in the manifold for other things, maybe an air horn down the line.

The tank lets you fill tires faster and run tools off of it.

Thanks for the feedback! That's one reason I would also install on the passenger side. Fill that empty void with the ARB Twin and a gallon tank.

I started with driver because I liked the the Rago mount (design, quality, aluminum so virtually no weight added) but I am moving it to the passenger because I'm adding a switch pros and it makes more sense on the driver side.

I think if you want a tank, passenger side is the spot.

Bandy mount requires some relocation of stuff, so I went with LFD because I didn't want to disturb anything, a few folks gave it good reviews, and it's stainless so no rust.

Mine is on the driver side (Slee Offroad mount). I would highly recommend putting it on the passenger side. There is very little room for me to work with. I got the manifold for adding a locker, and the manifold won't fit in the current positioning.

Tons more room on the passenger side.

Good insight.

Doesn't the Rago mount come with space for the switchpro unit too?

Thanks for the suggestion on LFD, i'll look into them too.

Good feedback! I'll put that into consideration.

I guess it would make a cleaner look on the passenger side huh.

I'll echo a few people here. Passenger side with the Bandi mount. Can't go wrong. I had the mount on my 4th gen and then when I upgraded to a 5th gen, I immediately went with the 5th gen mount with the air tank.

That passenger rear side is the perfect place for the twin and a tank. I run the twin to a tank to a manifold and it has worked perfectly for the past two years through hundreds of air-ups and air-downs and lots of off-road miles. You can't go wrong.

Leaving the driver side open for an aux fuse panel or switch pros or something is definitely the right move if you plan on adding additional lights or other accessories in the future. Shorter wiring runs is almost always better!

It only requires relocation if you live in a nanny state with airpump versions.

I had to relocate nothing on my 19

Mounted the CKMTA12 on a M.O.R.E Offroad mount (which is sized for a 1 gal air tank underneath) on passenger side. Already had Switch Pro unit mounted on a Power Tray on the driver's side.

I have my twins on top of a 1gallon air tank sitting on a M.O.R.E. mount wired to a swing pro. Passenger side; because I have no need to a dual battery set up.

With the 1gallon ( I wish I went with a 2.5gallon Viair mount in rear when the spare use to be) and the 4 tire inflation kit I custom make. Takes 7 to 8 minutes to fill all 4 - 35" tires from 10 -12psi to 38psi. With the 2.5 gallon would be faster

What’s the maintenance on the tank?

Do you relieve the air if the tank is not in use?

After every use I depressure the tank... As I don't like driving around with a pressurized tank.

Nearly the same setup. I have my SPOD, Blue Sea distribution block, and circuit breakers on the drivers side
