Paid $300 for 20% Llumar ceramic tint for all three windows on each side. Plan on going back for the front windshield eventually.

I was quoted around $400 for Driver, Pass, and Cargo area. Maybe $450 3M Ceramic
I won't do the windshield. I did that in my last truck and the Rainbow with polarized sunglasses wasn't what I wanted.
When that one broke I didn't replace it. Sure wish they could figure out how to eliminate the rainbow.
Guess this is a hijack but I'm wondering what to apply on the Cargo and 2nd row vs Front row.
In the front I'm mostly looking for the heat reduction. Going back behind me I'm looking for security.
Coming back from guiding a hunt but still need to buy groceries on the way home, I'd like it dark enough you'd need a flashlight to see what's in there.

Everyone will say ceramic, and while it does work, you have a lot of metal on the body that will transmit heat.

I feel like this is a myth that tint places perpetuate because the sunroof is the worst (least fun) window to tint

Yeah, I'm willing to believe that but they won't warranty it so I guess I'll make do with the fabric shade. Works just fine to keep UV and heat out so that's that. The sun is something special here so maybe there's something to it too.

It was six years ago, but paid like $350 or so for it. Got the ceramic, super duper, top of the line, blah blah stuff. Got it all around, clear front with that tinted upper part, life time warranty.

I remember reading something YEARS ago that was talking about double/triple pane residential windows with two layers of tint on them and them shattering.
It was basically a thermal issue from what I recall.
I won't even attempt to look for the article since it would be over 15 years ago.
I remember because I was specifically wondering about tinting triple pane.

$499 for all front and rear windows
$250 for windshield
The film being installed is 3M CIR.
What kind of tint did you go with and how much did it come out to?

I do think that the price you were given is extremely overpriced even for ceramic. Do not go to an overpriced shop, there are plenty of small shops willing to do the entire job for $200-$300, you just have to check offerup and craigslist.

Solar Gard 20% tint all wrapped around except for front windshield, $215 cash with with Houston, TX heat, doesn't penetrate as much then again I'm Blizzard Pearl. Way better than bare tempered dark glass, more privacy as well. Get the XTR LP or led back up bulbs upgrade ready!

$140. South FL prices! Lots of competition
Did 5% on front windows, 15% on rears (which they said would match the 5% front windows and it did)
Nothing on front windshield or sunroof.
