How much was your TINT job?
Hey gents,
I understand tint pxing varies between regions, film brands, etc.
Just trying to sanity check the quote I received.
$499 for all front and rear windows
$250 for windshield
The film being installed is 3M CIR.
What kind of tint did you go with and how much did it come out to?

130 for the windshield. Full 75% ceramic plus limo strip. i forget the rest. Ceramic is pricey and worth it.

Did mine 5 years ago, so my prices were lower. Yours looks fair if it's ceramic tint. I did the windshield, front side and moon roof with the moon roof a little darker. It really helps with the heat rejection. I did our new Seinna the same way for about the same as your prices and it's windshield is way larger.
Can't tell from the photos, but I liked them so posted them anyway.

$320, +30 tip, 20% Llumar all around (front row to rear). "Lifetime warranty"
(I think Llumar ATR)
No windshield or sunroof at this time, as I could not wait for it longer.
Done by one of the "TOP NOTCH" shops in the Northeast.
Took about 2.25 hours.
Excuse the filth... Shitty day, and birds got me while I was waiting for them to open.

Budget the time and go back to get the windshield and sunroof done. It really helps with the weak Toyota A/C.

I thought that was just me.
I am driving with the AC on in the Winter, and one notch up on the dial is too warm for me on a 45 degree day.
Once I click the temp to "low", and I am on the highway, it gets cold.
Most of my longer distance driving is done at night anyway.
Smoovvvve sailin'.

$500 all windows, +$50 for the moonroof - huper optik ceramic.
*I really want to get the windshield done, but hard to justify the cost for something that will probably get replaced every few years.
Note: I did 30% all around and regret it - too dark @ night for me, personally, for the front windows.

I paid $200 ceramic for the entire car including the windshield on my 02.
You'll get the best deal if you check offerup for local tint shops advertising in the fall/winter. They're hurting for business and they do great work.

Just one word of advice: in some states, including mine (Utah) it is illegal to tint the front windshield darker than factory.

LOL. What did they use? Brand/Line.
Warranty?
I wish it was like that here in the NE... I had to schedule and wait for awhile.

$450, Llumar Pinnacle ceramic 15% all around, Air Blue 80 on the windshield. They recommended against doing the sunroof because they've seen them crack here in town

Thanks for all the input guys.
Ended up going 3M CIR, 15% in fronts, 35% on rears.
Passed on doing the windshield, too much going on with the dot matrix and collision sensor... didn’t want to deal with all of that. Did car with dot matrix windshield in the past, and regretted it.
Paid $500. Pleased so far with work but new tint you can never really tell till it dries.
So far, the color “consistency” from rears to front are pretty damn close... from the outside. Inside out, there’s no avoiding the dyed rears versus the yellowish front glass.
Had a very helpful member reach out and put me in touch with local XPEL guys, but the wait time (first week of feb) was just too far out.
Perhaps on the PPF if I eventually go that route.
Pics to come.
