Can't hear it.
Is that a Lead Acid battery?
If yes, how do you deal with the Hydrogen?

If you open it, does it smell like rotten eggs?
If yes, that is H2S/Hydrogen Sulfide.

it's an AGM battery. I thought about the hydrogen part and to avoid it, i had to use AGM.

I like the idea more than installing a second battery and all that goes with it on vehicle. Makes sense to me, nice work!

What is it used for?

I am thinking extra juice when camping? Potentially using accessories like a winch and lights?

I like the idea, leave at home when not using it, take it with me when camping or something.

Yes, extra juice when camping. Also, when doing a long drive, we had to stop in a cheap hotel sometimes and keep the fridge running overnight. Also for camping and in addition, an extra battery to jump start it if my primary battery fails. Also, i have another old 4th gen that i use, I can move it between which suv i want to use.

Looks good, I’m on my second solar build (Tacoma/ 4Runner). I’d never have another vehicle without some sort of way to run a fridge 24/7 and lights out camping. Truly a luxury.
