RCV Axles question - Current Owners

Question for current owners of RCV Axles. probably not many.

So my first set of axles which seemed to work quietly, sprung a leak on the outer cv boots- before the orange covers. The inner parts of the CV also seem to have issues and needed to be sent in for warranty work. Boots not covered so i bought those. This was only 5 months of use.. in the city.

Warranty axles came back and installed. Noticeable noise in 4Hi, more pronounced in 4Lo.

Rcv Says this is normal, Its a precision part and its not designed for a quiet ride. But they would be ok if they were sent back and they would send out a different set.

Any comments from current owners, in regards to driveline noise?

While I can't comment on 5th gen RCV axles, I had RCV in my 4th gen and I didn't notice a sound at all. Mine were as quiet as stock.

I would keep working them and get a new pair.

Yes, precision and quiet seem to go together, not vice versa!
