2021 Wiring Harness
Hello,
I am looking for a wiring harness for the 2021 radio. I want to add an inline amp without cutting into the factory wires. I did this in my 2017 with the trusty old 6 and 10 pin connectors Toyota has used for many years, but unfortunately the 2021 does not have the same wiring harness.
Here's the old harness I'm talking about : Amazon.com: MOTONG Stereo Wire Harness for 1987-Up Toyota Power/4 Speaker Connector: Car Electronics
And here's the amp: Amazon.com: Alpine KTP-445U 4-channel Power Pack Amplifier
This allows you to wire everything together outside the vehicle, then just plug it in between the old harnesses (thus, inline).
I've already reached out to Crutchfield with no luck. Anyone on here know of a wiring harness available for the new truck currently?
Thanks!

As far as I’m aware there’s not even a harness for the 2020 radio. I doubt there is one for the 2021. If you try to buy a radio on Crutchfield for a 2020 it’ll say it’s not recommended because there isn’t a harness yet.

Reach out to TacoTunes, many of the harnesses are compatible with other years. They will know or can point you in the right direction.

YES! This is the response I was hoping for!
Description says it has power, remote, and all speakers, but the image doesn't show the corresponding colors it lists.
-Did you have to run your own remote wire separate from this harness?
-Do you have any wiring diagrams for the truck you can share?
This harness should make it a much easier job. Thanks!

The 2020+ 4runners have all the speaker wires on a single connector with nothing else on it. this makes it easy.
The tacotunes harness has standard car audio colors on their side of the connectors that lined up with my amp harness colors. super easy. I spent time before getting the harness mapping the colors over but it was totally unnecessary.
This is not like previous years where your T harness had items other than the audio signals that had to be connected across the harness.
I did not use a remote turn on wire - used the sensing option on the amp and it works perfect

Thanks for the response man. I just got off the email with a rep from TacoTunes. He didn't answer me directly as to whether or not the Camry's connector works with my truck but he recommended this slightly different looking one that costs more.

Really wish they would clean up their site; It's a bit of a pain to navigate. I don't understand how I didn't see this previously!
How did you run power for your amp? Tap it into a fuse? Straight to the battery? Power provided through the harness?

Be *real* careful what you buy. I installed a full system in my '20 and there were lots of things that had changed from the prior years. I'd get an unqualified "yes" on whether things fit.

I did my install on a 2020.
I think Taco tunes amp plug and play harness includes wiring to run to an under seat mounted amp. I wanted to use speed wire for a cleaner install so I got the sub harness and cut off the connectors to make my own harness. For me purchasing the cheaper harness was the way to go because I wasn’t using the full length wires
I ran a dedicated power line from the battery.
I mounted my amp under the passenger seat. Power was pulled through the firewall and under the sill plate on the passenger side. The audio harness passed through the console. It made for a clean install

UPDATE on my situation.
Ended up ordering this harness from TacoTunes: 4Runner Plug & Play Amp Harness Installation Kit - Taco Tunes - Toyota Audio Solutions
It allows your to tap into the stereo output, route it to an amp/sub input, and then send the return line back to plug into the speaker input connector. It's a beautiful thing, really. Very high quality and well done harness, and to top it off it's already got connectors on it to plug directly into their amplifiers! So, they got me, I went ahead and ordered the 4 channel amp and install kit from Tacotunes as well.
Amp: TXD3204v3 Plug & Play 4 channel x 100 watts RMS Class D Amplifier - Taco Tunes - Toyota Audio Solutions
Unfortunately they cut their staff due to Covid regulations, or something like that.... so I've been waiting TEN DAYS and it still hasn't shipped
Excited for it to arrive so I can damage my hearing some more
