Buying a 2021 Trail - Ironman 4x4 lift ?

Hi all!

So Im going to buy a 2021 Trail (Army Green aww yeah) on momday.

I currently have an 08 SR5. So the dealer is saying all they have avail for lift kits is the Ironman due to delays at Fox and Bilstein not making products.

Is this lift any good? Worth the money or should I just go elsewhere and find an OME/Billy?Fox kit? Mostly Im concerned about the warranty of not getting it installed at the dealer but I also dont want to default to the IM because thats all thats avail.

Also just spacer lift or go with the full foam cells?

Thank you all!

Depends on how much lift you want. If only up to 3" front 1" rear, go with the spacers; inexpensive, easy to install, and will NOT effect your warranty even if installed by yourself or elsewhere.

I got the Rough Country leveling kit (spacers) 2" front and 1" rear; installed them myself, but had the dealer do the wheel alignment which is necessary for any lift.

I guess it comes down to what you plan on doing with your rig. I went with the stage 3 Foam Cell Pros on my '18 SR5P, which gave me about 2.5" inches in front and 2" in back. I'm planning on going up to at least 275s, maybe 285s (which will probably need a BMC). My main use will be on forest service roads and relatively light off-roading, definitely not looking to rock crawl. I've definitely noticed an improvement in ride quality over stock: it's much better composed going over speed bumps and the nose dive is reduced.

I can tell you we love our Ironman lift and wouldn't think twice about buying again if I bought another 4Runner. It will ride and handle better than stock

If you have pictures of your Trail with the Level kit let’s see it! I’m debating getting the level before I get the tires but I’m worried it’ll look weird before I get the tires.

Super happy with my Ironman Foam Pro Lift. Initially it will be over 3" before it settles. Fronts are adjustable, and you can add weight with sliders, armor, etc.

I just did 20 miles of snow moguls, there was zero fade, no issues with bottoming out. Foam pros are almost 3 inch in diameter and dissipate heat really well due to no having any air.

Friends with billies tend to hit the fade pretty quick, Fox, King, and Icon tend to be bit over pirced imo.

any 2-3" lift will clear 285's as long as you adjust caster via new UCA's.

Please factor new UCA's into your budget, regardless of lift choice (spacers, coilovers, etc..) makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in the world.

I prefer Dobinson's unit over SPC or ICON.
