4runners with KDSS but without sunroof
Today the dealer told me there are almost no 4runners in PNW with KDSS and without sunroof so it should be kind of special order.
And indeed, took a look at cars.com and there are plenty of 4runners with sunroof. But almost none KDSS and no sunroofs.
So, just curious and decided created this poll to grab opinions.

I had the opposite problem when I bought my 4runner in Hawaii, no kdss with the sunroof option.

I have an Offroad with KDSS but no sunroof. My previous two vehicles had sunroofs but I never used them. I think most Offroads are Offroad Premiums which usually has the sunroof package.

Well, I found one around ~200 miles from me, but still wondering why sunroofs are so popular.
My opinion - they leak, they reduce cabin height, during fast stop rear passenger hit sunroof with head (I tested that by myself ), it costs extra money.
In my previous vehicle I never used sunroof...

I had to wait for multiple boat shipments of 4runners to get Trd off-road Premium kdss no sunroof, not black, not red. I refuse to own a black vehicle (easily scratched). Wife refuses to own red. Some people like sunroofs. At some point they leak, rattle and/or break. Friend of a friend 5th gen 4runner sunroof broke when a crow dropped something on it. Non sunroof vehicle is stronger and lighter.
I think it took at least 3 boat shipments for a vehicle that fit my needs to arrive. Dealer had to trade another dealer to get it. Don't settle.
I live near Seattle.

Uhh, thanks for the inputs, that makes sense.
OK, will not surrender to my impatience and will wait for what I want...
Out of curiosity - what was calendar time of 3 boat shipments for this?
Yeah, I also live near Seattle and I see situation here is not good with KDSS/-Sunroof vehicles...

I had a 3rd Gen with sunroof for 18 years. I used it for a total of less than 2 hours open. Too hot in the sun. Got my 18 ORP with KDSS and no sunroof, waiting in the dealers lot for me. Just what I wanted.

Same here. Found my OR on the dealer lot with KDSS, and w/out a sunroof. It's not a Premium.

I have a sunroof on my 4RP and I use it often. Much more often than once a month. I’m 6’2” tall and I dont have an issue with interior roof height. This is the third vehicle I have purchased with a sunroof.
I would not have another vehicle without a sunroof.
I enjoy having it open in the summer and having the sun in the truck when its sunny but cold out. Since the rear window opens you can set it at the proper height for having a nice breeze in the truck.
I have my key fob set so the sunroof opens along with the windows and that works great for cooling off the interior quickly.

I have a moonroof/sunroof, KDSS, and a sliding rear cargo tray. I like and want them all. If it's cloudy or dark I open it. If I'm wheeling in the mountains I may have it open when sunny as well. If I'm in downtown I like to open it.

My '10 Trail has KDSS and a sunroof. I wouldn't want to get rid of either. I use the sunroof all the time when the weather's nice, and like the extra light that gets in even when closed. I'm sure it reduces the headroom, but i'm nowhere near the roof in it, unlike my Celica where the sunroof means i can't sit up straight with a helmet on, LOL.
