Man, I wonder what Toyota charges for one of those coolers! 2 or 3 times the price of a YETI (which are expensive to start with)?

I think its something like $375 new. I've read they are back-ordered, or at least the green ones. Probably why mine came with a cement. Its nice, but I dunno if its nearly $400 nice.

I just picked up a cement one for $250. google the part numbers and you'll find the random dealers selling them. They were anywhere from $250-300. Mine came from EB Toyota (North Attleboro, MA.) I ordered last Tuesday and got an email that said to call back Friday as it was on backorder and they'd get an idea from Toyota on the timeframe by then. I got a UPS shipping label Friday morning and it delivered Saturday.

If I ever want to sell it I'm sure I'd get $250. I feel this is one of those one time things that I'd be upset I missed out on getting.

For anyone looking here are the part numbers:

PT977-89210-00 cement
PT977-89210-06 army green

I bought a 2021 Army Green Trail last week. I wanted Army Green and didnt want to

A- wait ~6 months for a Pro in Army Green
B- pay for a Pro as I dont rock crawl, just forest road exploring/camping and light off roading

Mine was supposed to be here this week bit apparently its delayed at port. Which I have a feeling my dealership is waiting to get rid of more cars on lot before having more arrive but thats unconfirmed.

So I wound up added a ton to it.

Ironman Stage 2 Foam Cell Pro lift
18" Fuel Wheels (bronze)
32" Nitto Grapplers
Katzkin heated/cooled leather package
TRD skids plate
Predator rails

I got a pretty good deal on it and traded in my 08 SR5 that had 175k.

The cooler is gimmicky, the stock wheels are nice but they gave me credit back on upgrading and Ill get rid of the Yakima rack almost right away for a Prinsu or Rhino for my RTT.

With all that being said it still made sense for me from a price and delivery standpoint. Im pretty stoked to take ownership and will post some pics when shes ready. Im also adding some retro Ivan Stewart classic vinyl racing stripes above the wheel wells. Aesthetically this is pretty close to my dream T4R and I havent even adding lights, tire swing out etc but Im kinda broke now so that will come in time.

I picked up a (whatever Toyota calls) black one a month ago. I only wanted an SR5. And I wanted to buy new as I hold onto my cars for quite some time. Previously I had an Xterra I bought new in 2012 and drove until I traded it in a month ago. I saw the Trail on the lot and realized it was just a prettied up SR5 which was perfect for me. All blacked out and I love the new wheels.

How long was the wait for it?

I ordered the Army Green one in march 2021 and still don't have a build date or anything.
My dealer won't even give me an estimate because the trim is a "special" edition...
Seems more to me like an SR5 with a nice paint, dark wheels and a rack, than proper "special".

I bought a Trail simply because I wanted an Army Green 4Runner and didn’t want to spend the money on a used Pro.

Love the Lunar Rock but I would/did wind up not using and/or upgrading the majority of the extras on the Pro, and I don’t rock crawl so I simply couldn’t justify the price.

Funny story- my dealership didn’t have an army green cooler to match my rig. They gave me a grey one. Now I don’t care about the cooler or the color of the cooler. However I was able to convince them that this is a deal breaker for me and I would walk from the deal had they not either found me a matching cooler or compensated me for this atrocity (sarcasm)

So I convinced them to give me a Ironman FCP lift as compensation as Ironman is local and I knew they were friendly w my dealer.

TDLR; I turned a $300 cooler (which I still got) into a sweet new lift for my rig.
