Heater fan switch

My heater fan would not work this morning. I figured that it was a blown fuse, but after I got to my destination & re-started the engine, turned on the fan switch, then it worked as normal. Any ideas why it wouldn't work intially ?
There is only 17000 miles on this 2019 TRD OR, and this is the first of anything wrong.

Manual or climate control system? Most likely a loose connection. Could be corrosion on the switch contacts or one of the resistors in the resistor pack (controls the fan motor speed) going bad. Hard to trouble shoot unless the problem is constant.

i had a similar issue before turns out the fuse was kaput so i had to get a new one (Toyota Parts - Genuine OEM Toyota Parts and Accessories Online i just had to put in my vin and got a good deal.) problem was solved as soon as i put the new fuse in. im glad it wasnt something else that required some sort of overhaul.

I don't know how my fuse could be blown, because it started to work again.

I have had a couple instances where I have started the truck and noticed the heat wasn't working even though the fan speed dial was turned on. When I move the dial it then kicks on. Did you try adjusting the control dial when you noticed it wasn't working?

This has happened so infrequently that I haven't bothered looking for a fix as it has always kicked on when I adjusted the fan speed dial.

If you mean the Temperature control dial, no I hadn't tried to adjust it. But if it happens again, I will try that.

No, the Fan Speed dial. The dial on the left in the image below. (Picture pulled from Google).

I would just adjust that when it wouldn't turn on and it eventually would kick on.

Yes, I was moving the fan dial "left to right" then back, but it didn't do anything. Meaning that the fan never came on anywhere on the dial movement.

Had a similar issue on my 2014 orp. Didn't turn on one cold morning until 30 minutes later after restarting the motor. Replaced the blower (10 minutes and 3 fasteners) never had the issue again. Found it on rockauto for $60 or so. I've read they're pretty unreliable blowers.

Very interesting, I've never heard about the unreliable blowers. But, its still under warranty so I'm sure that if it happens again, it will be taken care of.
