Certified used TRD Offroad Premium or Limited?

Hi everyone,
In a year my current tundra lease is up and looking to go for a 4runner.
I don't go off road but do have to deal with nasty weather and deep snow.
Looking at the TRD Offroad Premium or Limited trim levels and will most likely end up buying certified used.
Which one is better bang for the buck as certified used they run about the same cost here.

Thanks

I'm biased but the Limited seems like the better option for "nasty weather" and snow. I live near NYC and we've had some pretty bad snow over the last month or so. Didn't even need to put it in 4WD except to get up the hill to our garage.

I own an 18 ORP but I bought it with the intention of going off off-road Lol escaping the city when I can
If you can afford a Gx get that first then 2nd choice is the limited
Love my ORP but I have different uses for it then your route

Also, I bet you'll be able to get a new TRD ORP for not much more than a CPO one. I was recently offered a new one for 42,887 in NorCal, the king of "market adjusted" Toyotas. Ended up with a non-P for 39.5k

Good luck!

Sadly around here a new trd off road premium goes for 45k+
Trying to keep it at 40k 41k would be pushing it and 30k or less miles
The trd offroad premiums around here are scarce cert used and go quick Limiteds there are more around.

Which is why I recommended a used cpo GX460 in my post above. You can find them all day every day for $30-$40K with 30k - 50k mi on them. They're a much better value on the used market than a 4Runner and have been babied. Most of them are lease turn-ins and have great service history. Since you're not off-roading and just want it for wet conditions and snow, the full time 4wd on a GX is much better than the part time 4wd on a TRD-OR 4runner.

Seems as though the Limited would suit your purposes if you do not intend on going off-road. A limited with AT tires in the winter will handle whatever you throw at it.

I love my TRD-OR, couldn't find a Premium for the price I wanted plus they are scarce. Mine came certified as a dealer vehicle so I saved some money but had higher miles.. but the price was too good to pass up.

+1 for the GX 460.. that's a great option. I love those things.

Lexus. Same platform as 4R but V8, uplevel interior and more bells and whistles. Very nice. Hatch swings open instead of up. Called the Land Cruiser Prado in other countries.

If you're dealing with deep snow, the part time 4x4 should do just as well as the Limiteds AWD. I will say I've been thinking maybe I should have looked at the GX460 or Limited after the recent snow in my area. I can manage with the part time 4x4 just fine, but the idea of letting someone else drive the 4R and not knowing when/how to use that is tough.

When we were looking at what vehicle to get, used GX460s and Limiteds were both right around $30-35k. Wife liked the look of the 4R better and I liked the roll down window but on the used market, the GX and the 4R can be cross shopped. New, you are absolutely right

I am new to the market for a 4runner and it seems around here new is a better choice than a CPO. Same was the case for the tacoma I purchased as well.
