GPS Problem
I had the touchscreen replaced on my radio/navigation unit. After reinstalling the GPS showed my location several miles from my actual location. I recalibrated the unit so that the cursor (car icon) showed my actual location. I used my cell phone GPS (longitude and latitude) to be sure that both agreed. My problem is that it won't stay calibrated. I have to recalibrate every 2 or 3 days. Has anyone had this problem or know how to solve it?

Mine has been doing this for over a year. Took it to the dealer and they said to update the map, which I did but that didn't do squat, as expected.
So, most of the time it thinks I'm cruising through a lake somewhere, but every once in a while I will look and its correct. But it doesn't last.
I just don't use it, but yeah it's annoying and I would also love to find a solution (other than replacing the unit).

Your position is correct the map itself is off , probably the area you are in has not been updated

I tried to use the OEM nav for the first two years of ownership. I did get a new map card. The OEM navigation is just really bad. I stopped using it and my life has much less frustration in it since I made that choice. I use a Garmin suction-cupped to he windshield. Sure, we paid for navigation and it should work. But it doesn't, OEM navigation is so bad its dangerous. For safety's sake, stop using it.

I quit using mine because it somehow got the Poll's mixed up; North is South and South is North. Very frustrating if traveling cross country.

That's what calibration does. I moved the map to my position. I have a 2010 model and it has been great for the last 10 years, until I had the digitizer screen changed.

Check your time and date to make sure it’s correct. I don’t recall if that can be set in the software or not. If it’s not correct, it may cause issues with calculating your position.

Hit the "setup" button, go to "Navi", then "Advanced settings". Then use the "tire change direction" arrows to change the way your vehicle is facing.
