Thanks for this. With the Alu Cab RTT, awning and roof trap up top I have some weight. I also run a fridge and slide setup as well. Then of course there is gear🙄 So planning on getting the +400 load leveling spring setup out back. Guy at Eibach seemed to think it would be wiser than the +250 spring. Opinion on this? Thanks. Tom

I asked Eibach about the spring rate before I bought them - Quote from Eibach: “The amount of lift and rate of spring were designed to be able to add small amounts of added weight to the front or rear!”
Not a super detailed answer, but with this 90 extra pounds it worked out perfectly.

The load leveling system for the rear is awesome, not sure why it’s not a more popular setup! You can dial in the exact amount of lift you want, only takes a floor jack and about 10 min to adjust both sides if you need to. And if later down the line you decide to add some significant permanent weight to the truck, the springs are cheap and come in several different stiffnesses. Comes with rear bump stops too. I’d imagine with a RTT it’d be nice to be able to adjust anytime you take the tent on/off.

Only been about a year with this setup, but no complaints so far.
Thanks for this. Going to order this setup here pretty soon. I have an Alu Cab RTT, 270 awning and roof tray up there. In cargo area I have a fridge as well and of course loadout gear. I am planning on going with the +400 lbs load leveling rear spring as RTT is up there all the time. What do you think, guy at Eibach thinks the +250 might be a little light when fully loaded up? Thanks for your response. Tom

It’s tough to say without calculating the actual weight added above stock. I’ve got goose gear drawers, tools, Gobi rack, and recovery gear that adds ~240 lbs. So I went with the 250 lbs/inch (middle of the road) spring. That’s just one data point, but you obviously have a lot more weight than that so I would guess that the heaviest rate spring would probably work fine. The nice thing is, it doesn’t have to be a perfect match, because you’ll have 1.5” of adjustment from the threaded perch. And if you put a few thousand miles on it and decide you want a softer ride, the springs are cheap and easy to swap out.
