2019 runner door edge guards

We recently bought a 2019 4runner with 6800 miles on it. My wife noticed that one of the door edge guards is loose and rbbing on the rear door . What is the best way to put it back on correctly?

Just tap the edge with a soft rubber hammer. That is how they are installed in the first place.

If they won't stay in place, you will need to buy new ones, but you must use the removal instructions for the old ones (shown in the installation instructions) so you don't damage the paint. New ones are readily available from your Toyota dealer or from parts.toyota.com.

Why? Just curious. Thought about installing but didn't. Went for a cleaner look. Less plastic hung here and there.
