80's SR5 Stripes: Yes! or No!??

So with the pandemic madness and crazy 2020, I was feeling nostalgic and bought an Army Green TRD Pro. When looking for some mods to do, I came across a vendor that makes up stripe kits that resemble the classic SR5 stripes on the pickups from 81-83 and I figured "Why Not?" so I did it. They've been on there for a year and I'm considering pulling them back off because I'm not sure if they are too much or not. I know some folks will like them, some will hate them. All good. Just figured I'd share some pics and see what you all think.
Here are some Before/After Pics:

There is a duplicate thread that needs to be deleted

To the Moderator,
when I first tried to post this thread, there is a bad one that ended up being created. Can you delete it?

Sorry about that!

The great thing about a mod such as vinyl stripes is that it's very noncommittal. I am not sure if I would have went with the rear stripes, but it does make your 4Runner more unique. I like it.

Yep. You can always remove them without too much effort.

While I had it in there, I had the whole thing ceramic coated and had the entire hood wrapped in clear bra for the rocks we get here in Oklahoma. So far it's perfect. If I didn't tell you the hood was wrapped, you wouldn't even know.

I always loved the old 80's pickups and just went with this. I still may remove them soon though.

Nice! I would leave them.

I also like your rear window flag decals and how they tie in to the OD green military look.

I’m not big on modding appearances of vehicles but I kinda dig it

I like it. Reminds me of my first Toyota 4x4 pickup I bought in ‘82. Charcoal grey with silver grey stripes. Same pattern. It’s a nice contrast against the green without standing out too much.

Thanks everyone!

Thank you everyone. I was worried they were over the top, but I suppose I will leave them for now.

It's odd, some days I look at it and really like them, other days not as much.

You all are the best.

I like them, too. Very nice! Perhaps you could provide vendor info, plus your experience installing them? Just in case others on here want to do something similar.
