How many ply are my tires?

Does anyone know how many ply my tires are? Just ordered some new wheels and wondering if I should get new tires or just keep my current ones and swap them over. I tow a 4000lb boat around about once a month. Currently have 265/70/17 Wildpeaks 115t.. the falken website does not specify how many ply these tires are.

Thanks for the help!

Ply ratings aren't specific to Falken. They apply to all tires.

A P-rated tire in SL, would be a 4 ply rated tire.

Yes, the actual number of plies is stated on the sidewall. But often the actual number of plies, and ply-rating get confused.

My load range E 10-ply rated tires don't actually have 10 plies.

You are right. The actual number of plys and the "ply rating" are two different things. For one, the tread will always have more actual plys than the side walls (for radial ply tires). What you should go by is the load rating, usually a letter grade like C, E, etc.
