How much should I price my 2014 4Runner Trail Premium for sale? (Substantial Build)
I am selling my 2014 Toyota 4Runner Trail Premium. I have about 99,000 mi on the clock (10 year / 100,000 mi warranty still in effect for the next few hundred miles, no issues).
This is built out for overloading. Everything is noted in my Build Thread here:
Here are some recent pics I put on dropbox
I have spent over $22,000 modifications and stuff I am including. I realize I won't get that back, just mentioning what I have in it.

Its going to be worth stock or less than stock value to a dealer (which you understand) to a private buyer I would think you would be lucky to get 5k over blue book for the mods - people generally have very different tastes and while you spent 22k they may only like 10k of your mods and if there is not a discount, why would they bother (hence how I came up with 5k plus).
All that being said, it seems the ideal time to sell

My opinion? Part out and sell many of the aftermarket things you got in it and bring back to as close as stock as you can then sell it.. you will make the most money out of it this way.

I just want to say I really appreciate all the feedback in helping me to price my build. I realize I will not re-coup my costs, thats not the goal. I built this with high quality parts, and I am just trying to look for what a fair price would be. Please keep the feedback coming.
Vehicle is a Florida car, no rust. Obviously I would be looking to sell to an enthusiast, maybe someone looking to do a 5th gen build but maybe this build gets them there or much of the way there.
I am not particularly interested in parting things out. I realize I could make more money that way, but really just trying to do one clean transaction.
Vehicle has a warranty, which only has a few hundred miles left, but I never did a single claim against the warranty (which is a premium warranty). I never had to. The 4runner's just don't break often. All service history is in the Toyota system, just your basic oil changes and tire rotations, maybe an occasional software update. I replaced the cabin/fuel/air filters as well at the proper intervals, as well as any other regularly scheduled maintenance. Thanks again for all the constructive advise, I really appreciate it.

I think realistically $30-$32K. List it at $34K OBO and see where it goes from there.

Warranty is worthless, as you've found out.

+1 on this. I was thinking exactly the same thing when I read your original post.

seems pretty realistic, quick Cars.com search says 14's are going around 25-28k (all models, though i seem mostly limiteds in the 28 range) with 80-100k so I would say since yours appears well kept, florida rig with a bunch of mods, I would toss it up for 34-35k and see where it goes.
though if it were me I would sell the easy stuff and still list it for 34-35k as stated before, it'll be very difficult to find someone with exactly your taste in mods let alone someone with the cash and in the area you are selling to want every mod you invested in.

Thanks everyone. I posted it for $34,000 which I think is fair, and I posted here, FB, expedition portal and overland bound, as well as a few overland FB groups I am on. Hopefully I can find someone who appreciates a good build that has been well taken care of.

Nice build out.
So if you don’t mind, would you tell us you it sold for?
