TSO makes good TRD Pro grill too. I bought a cheap ebay one for my 2016 and it worked fine, there was a 1/2 inch gap on each side, but it wasn't noticeable unless you looked.
I bought another ebay one for my 2018 and I had the same issue, the gaps on each side of the garnish are like an inch and very noticeable. The shape wouldn't fit over the middle part and it would pop out. I used heat gun to finally fit it, but the gaps over sliver were just terrible. So I removed it and tossed it, except the top grill part. That fit, and you can get TSO garnish for a better price without the grill.

This is the 7th week for me.. I am giving them until the end of the day. I will be calling my CC to cancel and do a chargeback tomorrow morning.

At this point if anyone wants one to look good I think the OEM is the right choice. I went with a Car Trim and it fit poorly, the locating tabs for the TSS sensor and the upper portion didn't really work together. Plus it appears they widened it to remove some of the gap. Mine was super tight but once you pull that tape you're kind of committed. I also broke two of the plastic clips on the upper grille insert trying to get it all snapped in. Lasted about a day and ripped it all off.

Some people are willing for poor fit to save some money.
I wished I did some research on Taco Vinyl... Apparently they are shipping mine out today after I threatened to cancel via CC.
we'll see if it fits ok. But in hindsight I agree with going OEM for no hassle install, quicker shipping, and perfect fitment.

Nice!
Yeah I wanted that grill too so I traded in the ORP for ‘21 Pro. Have to pick it up, it’s waiting for me, but I’m recovering from Rona now.
The heck are pics a pain in the ass to post?

I think the way to go is to upload them on imgur or flicker and link them. But congras on the ORP... and sorry for the Rona.
Wish you a speedy recovery!!!

I had to back the top two long screws out on the outside ends ( the ones provided by taco vinyl) and put two washers under the two fasteners. This got mine flush and even. when they were tight and without the washers the grille pulled the trim back and created the gap for me. I had noticeable gaps before this. Now they look normal and set flush with the lines when looking from outside in at an angle. Hope this helps. Hind sight, I would have got the oem if I read this prior to getting theirs but it turned out nice.

Hey Elvir,
I finally got mine and was able to install mine this past weekend and while it does have its issues, It's sort of fixable.
1) Only the 4 screws on the outside of the top grill can be screwed in with the stock screws. Get #8- Stainless 1-1/2" button top phillips screws and it will work for the other four. The angles are a bit different but it'll work ok. You can drill new holes if you want it perfectly aligned but you might need a washer at that point.
2) To make the black Toyota bar fit, I had to dremel (grind) where the slots from the top grill fits in down quite a bit. It's not visible though. If you have time, sanding all of the top ridge down a bit would help as well.
3) To not have the weird gap, I used the provided double sided tape, I doubled up the tape to act as a spacer before putting the plastic fastener in. 3 layers would guarantee no gap but 2 layers was already hard to get the fastener in. Two layers seem like a good compromise. You can try 3 layers and take one out if the fastener doesn't fit.
More than likely, all of the aftermarket places share the same molds for these so to be able to get the perfect fit, you'll have to shell out the $500 for Genuine Toyota parts.

This. You spent a good amount of money on your truck, why struggle with the lesser quality non-fitting knockoffs just to save a little. McGeorge Toyota was the cheapest place I found at the time to buy the OEM parts. They installed perfectly.

Also.. this may be stupid.. but...
Take of the top grill, install the black Toyota trim first. This got me the best fitment of the trim pieces.
I taped the bottom portion of the trim and put the top tape on the bumper. This got my bottom fitment supertight and the top very close. I also taped the sides as well since mine is lighted, I wanted it to be relatively water sealed.
Then dremel the necessary parts until the top grill tabs fit in the slots.

I finally received my grill today, ordered on 2/17, shipped on 4/2, then lost in USPS land for 13 days. Install went fairly well with a couple issues, first off while installing the second "T", both bosses cracked where the screws go in, I didn't seem to overtighten them when this happened, but with some JB weld rebuilding the bosses, it seems to be okay. I filed down the black center garnish where the top grill clips go in to give clips some more room, seemed to really help. And even though the radiator bracket doesn't fit on 2020-2021 models, I reused it anyway by cutting off the outer mounts with a hacksaw and filing the cut smooth, it still mounted with 2 screws and looks factory and added some center support.

I know this is a somewhat older thread, but for those who tried getting this grille on their 2020/2021 models, is the fitting issue coming more from the upper grill or from the black garnish? I have the taco vinyl grill ready to go, but after hearing these issues I’m afraid to even attempt to put it on. Unfortunately I already attached the letters so doubt I’ll even sniff a refund.
Since the OEM grille (about $120) is much cheaper than the OEM garnish (almost $300) I’m wondering if I could just cough up the $120 for that and get it to work with this taco vinyl garnish. Sounds like I may still need to do some trimming to the inserts on top of the garnish though?
