It did not require using t-taps to connect to the 12v power source?

Nope! It has the same electrical connector as the 12v cigarette lighter assembly. Plugged right in.

Nice! I am going to do this for the center stack and console then. Wish they would fit for the two rear 12v ports as well.

I used the same USB as Nauty but put it inside the center console. It replaced the cig lighter.

This is perfect! Just to double check compatibility, the OEM site suggests 2020+ but you’re sig suggests you have a 2019. Given how little 5th gen’s have changed over the years, I assume this does actually fit my 2019 limited?

Yup, it fits my 2019 just fine! I'm ASSUMING it is compatible to at least 2014, but I cannot verify that.

USB data port relocation

The OEM dual usb upgrade is awesome! Has anyone relocated the data usb anywhere else besides the glovebox?

Still use hard wired CarPlay and wanted to move that port out of the center stack and either to an open port on the left side of the steering wheel or to the open spot underneath the push button ignition.

Thank you!

Have you heard of anyone moving the data USB port to anywhere else other than the glovebox? I would love if I could move it to one of the blanks on either side of the steering wheel and retain CarPlay functionality in that port.

I have a 22 TRD ORP and there is the blank where the party mode switch would be and that would be an ideal spot for my setup. Has anyone done this? Can't seem to find anything on it in the forums.

I am also looking to do this. I didn’t see if it had data to CarPlay, I am assuming not since it’s a power port. I would be adding a car link module to the glove box. Any tips on how to pry out, I assume no screws inside the 12v? Haven’t taken a hard look yet
