So if you want to upgrade the sound of your stock, non premium stereo for under $100.00, hear is what I think is an easy and worthwhile mod.
I did this today and am very pleased.
Crispers highs and mids. Sounds more like component speakers now.

Features
Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and an increase in efficiency.
Tweeter: Each speaker has a balanced dome tweeter. A semi-dome tweeter has a dome placed inside a cone. Balanced dome tweeters are semi-dome tweeters with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome portions of the tweeter.
High-Output Design: The 3Ω voice coil design compensates for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring, extracting more power from factory (or aftermarket) receivers.
Crossover: The included 270 microfarad capacitors are 1st order high pass crossovers (6 dB/octave); the crossover point is approximately 196 Hz. One capacitor is wired in-line with the positive input of each speaker. For best results, solder speaker wire terminated with quick slides (item number 120FQS10PK, sold separately) to both ends of the capacitor, then insulate the assembly.
I purchased a pair of RED WOLF Car Front Center Dash Pro Tweeter Audio Speaker Wiring Harness Replacement & soldered the 270 microfarad capacitors in line on the positive wire.
Purchased new OEM brackets so I could cut them and use one end from each to install the speakers. ( I retained my originals in the event I would have to replace them)

Speaker covers were modded as well. I removed the lip from the underside of each cover. The remaining lip was only 1/8”
I used my dremel tool.
