Roof top tent on prinsu 7/8?

Hey gang,

I have a prinsu 7/8 and want to take a trip. Would like to put a tent up top. Which ones fit?

Thanks,
Chris

Full length owner here. There's not a tent on the market you shouldn't be able to mount onto your 7/8. Most tents have mounting tracks that run the length of the vehicle. Since our crossbars run the width of the vehicle it makes it pretty easy to install any tent onto any prinsu rack unless your trying to match the width/length of your rack exactly?

Im not a rooftop tent owner but if I was I'd look at GFC for build quality. I was looking at Desert Armor a little while back and they had some nice products on sale too.

GFC is back ordered months in advance and bolts directly to the factory hole locations....

My CVT MT. Shasta fits nicely. You could probably even go a size up from it.

I have a Treeline 56" on my Prinsu full length rack. Prinsu makes a 1" spacer that makes mounting a tent much easier because of how low profile the rack is. I mounted my tent without them and had to use M8 x 50mm hardware instead of the 80mm bolts that came with the tent. By doing this I was able to mount the tent directly to the crossbars, although I have to remove the cross bar directly in front of and behind during install to provide my hands room to put the nuts on.

Here is the link to the feet, again not needed but do make things easier. I personally wanted to avoid raising my tent any higher.

Most tents should fit on the rack, but if a tent is wider than the rack, you may want the Prinsu 1" spacers to make things easier.
