haha... very true. The compressor has plenty of space, but the hose is like trying to fit yourself into pants that are one sizes too small after a large meal. You will get it in there, but it isn't comfortable.

I have the 400P automatic. Duty cycle is 33% so you can run it up to 40 minutes so no issues filling up all 4 of my tires. It will automatically shut off when you release the trigger. I actually use some 6" velcro straps to hold the trigger down so I don't have to sit there and hold it down for 3 minutes on each tire. Easily comes off to shut off the compressor in between tires.

It does get very hot but I am sure the other ones do too. 2.3 CFM fills up from 15 psi to 35 psi in about 3 to 3.5 minutes a tire.

Shittybuilt has one that has 5.6 CFM so that sounds good but I have never used one. Ironman America has a 5.6 CFM that is usually a little cheaper and is probably the exact same one as the Shittybuilt (only cosmetic differences).

That's not what that means. It means if you run it 20mins, you have to let it rest for 40mins before using it again. The psi rating for the duty cycle is important in that equation as well, if it's rated at 100psi then you can run longer at lower pressures because there's less heat generated during compression.

My 5.65cfm can fill all four 33in tires at once in about 5-7mins (the rest of my normal 10min inflation time is getting my manifold out & hooked up and putting it all back up in its bag afterwards), so one with about half that capacity will probably never reach the 20min mark filling 4 smaller offroad tires (under 35in).

Have the Smittybilt. Price was too good to pass up. Swapped out all the fittings for standard air fittings. It now matches my other vehicles and home setup. Throw away the yellow collapsible hose. Bought a heat rated collapsible hose from Harbor Freight.

AIR CHAMP PRO 5.65CFM - 12V Heavy Duty Portable Air Compressor (ICOMPRESSOR004)

Works great. Similar to the Smittybilt but I like the hose style better. It is still a proprietary connection though. For a few bucks more as plenty of others have mentioned the Viairs are great. I got this one as a temporary item until I feel like spending the $$$ on a dual chamber ARB. My FJ had a single chamber under the hood and you really can't over estimate how convenient onboard air is. Big cost difference though.
