Decided to look into a light bar for this rack. Dumb question.. How are you mounting your light bar to it? I know there’s a cutout for one, but just not sure how a bracket would go on?

Update! I removed the rubber strip and it actually made the rack less noisy so I'm just leaving it off lol. The little bit of wind roar I got seems to be gone.

Which light is that? I’ve got my rack order in, hopefully have it soon. I’m looking at lights now.

Thanks for sharing your experience with this rack. I just got mine from these guys and I love it! I was lucky enough to find it in stock and just went and picked it up directly from them. I’ll be getting the same light bar, seems to fit perfectly on it.

Hey guys, how thick is the aluminum frame? The price point on this is much less than the SSO. Just wondering if they have cut corners somewhere? The website does not specify a weight capacity and almost skirts the issue by saying use your common sense. While SSO clearly states their static and dynamic limits.

Looks good, but will it hold up to an RTT and awning?

The side plates are 1/8" thick aluminum. It's formed into a upside down "U" channel. This design is much more rigid than the flat side plates you see on other racks. The crossbars are regular 1x2 t-slot extrusions. The front deflector and rear piece are both formed from single pieces of sheet metal rather than flat plates mounted to t-slot bars.

Feels rock solid and I can shake the truck with no flex in the rails. Climbed on top and feels solid. Haven't had it on the highway yet but no bad wind noise driving around in town. Uses carriage bolts to attach anything you want. They sell side panels and deck panels as well. Pretty happy so far.
Do you know if this rack works with a sunroof. I didn't see any on their site.

Works fine no issues. I left one bar off so the sunroof isn't blocked. This picture is before I put the front rubber edge trim. I had much better luck with noise after installing the trim. It's surprisingly quiet.

Has anyone purchased the interior storage panels and shelf? Looks very similar to the Rago stuff at half the price.

It did, but later I had an issue with the front half of the rack vibrating on the roof channel when the wind crossed it at a certain angle while traveling at a certain speed. It was super annoying. I emailed AF when it happened and the first question he asked me was "did you take the rubber off? " Lol.. Put the rubber strip back on and that stopped, so I'd definitely recommend leaving the strip on. I don't really notice any wind noise at this point. May have just gotten use to it.

Hello, do you mind me asking how did you mount a light bar, were you using the original mounting brackets, I purchased same rack last summer and trying to figure out how to mount a light bar so it will seats inside the the wind fairing instead of on top of cross bars. What light bar are you using.
Thank you

Rubber strip

Does anyone know where to replace the rubber strip for the windfairing? I know this thread may be dead.
