Grinding noise from front end = idiot user

Installed my kings and total chaos ucas. All was well until my wife drove off in the runner and I heard a terrible gri di g noise. When she came home I pulled the front driver wheel off and found it wasn't grinding at all. The angle on the cv was causing the boot to rub at the flex points....I was totally relieved, threw some lube on it and noise vanished. Now I am considering a different drop kit, though I have read they make no difference?? Can someone please explain how the diff drop kit would not make it difference? Thanks.

As I understand the drop kit it just drops the front so it's really kind of angling it down rather than really lowering the entire assembly, which would probably be the best way. But I could be wrong, someone with more knowledge on it will chime in soon.

The front differential drop kit lowers only the differential, nothing else. Thus, the drive shaft from the transfer case to the differential is angled down more, but the CV axles are angled less.
