Cons - little slow, but that's not really that big of a deal
I know several people with Engo - they are all happy.
If I had to do it again, the only other winch I might consider is SmittyBuilt.
They seem to be getting their act together.
I personally wouldn't pay the Warn price.
Nor would I trust Harbor Freight with anything load bearing/safety related.
Harbor Freight is for tarps, zip ties, tools I don't mind if they break.

Thanks, I really liked my old Engo, I consider them a top brand with Warn, I went with the Warn EVo 10, it was a little more than the Engo SR10 and I have synthetic rope sitting in the garage from the the last winch. I will see how this Warn is and I plan on getting a Engo for the wifes Jeep she buys so I cna compare the 2 and and have the best of both worlds.

It's old but I washed it after every use and and it's only faded in a few spots from the sun. it's from Winchline which I guess is no longer in business.

You might as well bite the bullet and get a new rope, sounds like the one you have may have had a lot of UV exposure. That or you put it off and utilize the cable that comes on your new winch for a while.

Yeah I am looking at this, and will make a decision. I want to get some Factor 55 gear also so steel might be the way to go for a while. I guess I am looking for 3/8 80-85 ft from what the guides say.

Very true....seem all good at first, but then after a couple uses they become unreliable, and dangerous. You will wish you had kept your distance when the cable snaps.
