Long time 4runner owner looking to upgrade!!

Is this the most UNDERRATED Toyota 4Runner color? Nautical Blue on a built TRD Off Road! - YouTubeHi guys,

I am a long time 4runner owner. I have a 2004 2wd sport edition with 235,000 miles. It has been a great truck but its time for an upgrade and get some real capability! I am looking at a blue 2021 venture edition with KDSS or a TRD Off Road Premium also with KDSS and blue. I am not so sure about the venture look with the black handles and black rear spoiler.

I really like the look in the video link below, but for the Off Road would need to change the badging, the grill, toyota logo, "4runner" in the back etc. Does anyone have any recs where to get these parts? I would add rails and a rack later, just looking for the cosmetic changes here.

Again, I am new here so I am not sure how to just attach an image file so here is the link to the YouTube video of the truck. Thanks again everyone!

If you like either, my advice is, if you know you want to purchase and can make the deal don’t hesitate.

Been an owner of nautical blue TRDOR for the past almost 4 years... I'd get white or silver if I was buying it now
Don't get me wrong, nautical blue is a beautiful color. But you'll deeply regret picking it after the very 1st trail

I'd go for the Off-road. I prefer manual transfer case. Rear locker is easier and cheaper to buy as standard equipment versus adding later.

The venture is cool especially with the blacked out look. The only thing you really have to consider is it worth the extra 2k? For me it wasn’t. Blacked out my badging and got the valences colored black.

As for the blue... I love that color, when I decided to buy a 4Runner that was what I thought I wanted for a long while. I still see the blue and it is mesmerizing. So why did I get white? We were in Florida and I saw a blue 4Runner and my god the swirl marks that I could see plain as day made me re-think the blue. Does it look amazing when meticulously cared for, yes. Am I the person to do it? Nope.

I'm an "upgrader" myself, having owned a '90 (2nd gen), '00 (3rd gen), '08 (4th gen, STILL have it!) and a '19 TRD OR Prem (5th gen).

Each generation was an improvement in comfort, capability and power (except my '08 runs circles around my '19 despite both having a CAI as the only performance mods. The Sprint Booster on the '19 helped but she's still a dog, comparatively).

My only exterior upgrades on my '19 are the Predator steps over the tube steps that were on it plus the addition of the roof rack rails.

Love my Yotas!

I don't use the locker very often but would not want to be without it.
